Details: A one-day training seminar in applying EEG data collected before or during neurofeedback training, with one or two-channel devices.  Paul Swingle and others have used EEG information diagnostically, and to inform neurofeedback protocol decisions.  The current seminar automates this process by working with a specially prepared spreadsheet that reflects this diagnostic and protocol selection information.  Depending on the software you use, data can be manually or automatically exported to the spreadsheet, where interpretations and protocol suggestions are made.  This seminar will teach the process of inputting the information, as well as interpreting the information given.

Morning and afternoon tea are provided.

BRIEF OVERVIEW:

While this Mini Q system is often referred to as the "poor man's QEEG", because 19 channels are not measured simultaneously, it is nevertheless very useful.  It will give relevant amplitude data in the important EEG bands, with interpretations based on the work of many leaders in this field.  Once the technical process of transferring data has been mastered, and hopefully automated, to a greater or lesser degree, the information given is reliable and has excellent diagnostic utility.  It will be cliinically useful at intake as well as throughout the course of treatment.  Part of the seminar will deal with the transfer of data to the spreadsheet, and part of the seminar will address the information revealed.
